Kim ANDREASSON is a consultant on digital development to the World Bank and has advised the United Nations since 2003, most recently for the global e-government survey and report. He is the founder and Managing Director of KJA Digital, a thought leadership and research company specializing in the intersection of the digital economy and the public sector, including AI, cyber security, e-government, digital divides, and measurement of the information society.
Kim is regularly moderating events and giving presentations around the world, including in Bahrain, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Oman, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Viet Nam. He has spent 20 years in digital development consulting, including as Senior Editor and interim Associate Director at The Economist Group where he co-managed the annual report on the Digital Economy Rankings.
Kim is the editor and author of numerous publications and reports, including articles and white papers on a range of digital development and digital economy topics for The Economist Group. His books Cybersecurity: Public Sector Threats and Responses, and Digital Divides: The New Challenges and Opportunities of e-Inclusion, were published in 2011 and 2015 respectively by CRC Press. He received his Bachelor of Arts from New York University and Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. Kim lives in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, and Varberg, Sweden.
